The recommended time to take the formulas would be on an empty stomach, 15 to 30 minutes before food. However, there is no problem if you choose to take them with food or after eating.
Store the herbal formulas away from extreme heat and/or direct sunlight. Teas can be refrigerated after opening.
There is no set amount for formulas. You are welcome to take one formula or many, depending on what areas of the body you are supporting.
If you are unsure or would like a more guided plan, feel free to work with a practitioner and follow a personalized protocol.
Yes, however we only recommend mixing the herbs that you will be taking for one day at a time.
You are welcome to burn off the alcohol in the tinctures by placing 1 to 3 ounces of simmering water into an empty cup and then adding each dose of the formulas you are taking into the water. Allow to cool for approximately 10 minutes before consuming.
There are no age limits with herbal formulas; however, for tiny humans and animals, the suggested dosing will differ from an adult dose.
Follow the directions on the label, which will show the suggested dose by weight, and you can adjust as needed. If a baby is breastfeeding, any formulas Mom is consuming will be passed to the baby through breastmilk.
Starting slowly with children or pets is a good way to see how they do with the formulas. Half or quarter doses or taking the formulas once a day and gradually increasing is a good way to get started and see how they do.
Formulas can be added to fresh juice, applesauce or a smoothie if they dislike the taste of the formulas.
Herbs are a very safe way to support a healthy pregnancy when used properly and with common sense. Strong lymphatic pullers are not recommended in pregnancy.
Focus instead on using fruits, berries, and melons as cleansers! If you are unsure or uncomfortable with an herb or herbal formula, consult a knowledgeable midwife or herbalist, or consider your body’s innate wisdom and muscle test!
When breastfeeding, you want to avoid Black Walnut Hull, as this can reduce or stop milk production. (Found in the Fungal Balance & Parasites formulas). Fenugreek can increase milk production if needed.
Yes, you are encouraged to continue with your herbal formulas when fasting, whether it is a fruit feast, juice fast, or water fast.
